Download Data SheetHow does the ALL-DP-2051 work?
Step by step:
Because the high and low sides see the same line pressure, it cancels out and only the difference is measured. Across an orifice plate or pitot tube the difference rises with the square of flow, so the square root output gives a signal proportional to flow.

From Selection to a Working Signal in Your Control System
A pressure transmitter is only as useful as the signal that reaches the control room. Proplant PCE handles the steps around the instrument as well as the instrument itself.

ALL-DP-2051 FAQ
What is a differential pressure transmitter used for?
It measures the difference between two pressures. Typical uses are flow across an orifice plate or pitot tube, liquid level in closed tanks, density, and the pressure drop across filters.
How accurate is the ALL-DP-2051?
Reference accuracy is ±0.075% or ±0.1% of calibrated span, with stability of ±0.1% of span over three years.
What spans are available?
Four capsules: 0.2 to 6 kPa, 0.4 to 40 kPa, 2.5 to 250 kPa and 30 to 3000 kPa. The zero can be elevated or suppressed within the range limits.
What static pressure can it handle?
The maximum working pressure is 16, 25 or 40 MPa depending on the version, and either side can be overloaded up to that pressure.
Does it support HART?
Yes. HART is superimposed on the 4 to 20 mA signal for remote set-up, diagnostics and reading the static pressure.
When should I use the square root output?
For flow measurement with an orifice plate, venturi or pitot tube, where the differential pressure rises with the square of the flow. Use linear output for level and filter monitoring.
Can Proplant PCE supply it with a pitot tube or orifice?
Yes. We can supply the transmitter with an Itabar averaging pitot tube, manifolds and impulse fittings, sized for your pipe and flow range.
