ALLMAG 5000 IO-Link Electromagnetic Flow Meter
A compact magnetic flow meter with IO-Link, a colour TFT display and two configurable outputs, for monitoring, transmitting and batching conductive liquids.

Key Features of the ALLMAG 5000 IO-Link Electromagnetic Flow Meter
IO-Link communication
IO-Link V1.1 on output 1, COM3 bit rate and 1.1 ms minimum cycle time (MIS), with SIO mode and block parameterisation.
Two configurable outputs
Each output can be 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 20 mA, 0 to 10 V or 2 to 10 V, an NPN, PNP or push-pull switch, or a pulse or frequency output.
Dosing and batching
Output 2 runs a dosing output while output 1 acts as the start, stop and reset input.
A grand totaliser and a resettable totaliser are both kept.
Bidirectional measuring
Flow is measured in both directions.
Colour display, touch keys
A 1.4" 128 × 128 TFT display rotates in 90° steps, changes colour on limit violations, and the four optical touch fields work with gloves.
Temperature as well (MIM)
The MIM has a Pt1000 temperature sensor, so one device reports flow and liquid temperature.

Step by step:
The measurement does not depend on density, viscosity or temperature. Output 1 can be set to IO-Link so the PLC reads flow, totals and status digitally, while output 2 stays free for an alarm or a batching signal.

From Selection to a Working Signal in Your Control System
A flow meter is only as useful as the signal that reaches the control room. Proplant PCE handles the steps around the instrument as well as the instrument itself.

ALLMAG 5000 FAQ
What is the difference between the MIM and the MIS?
The MIM is a compact all-metal meter with threaded connections from G¼ to G2 and a temperature sensor. The MIS is a flanged meter in DN80 and DN100 for medium-sized water lines.
What does IO-Link add?
Output 1 can run as an IO-Link port, so the PLC reads flow, totals and settings digitally over a standard 3-wire sensor cable, and the meter can be parameterised remotely.
Can it still give a 4 to 20 mA signal?
Yes. Both outputs can be set to 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 20 mA, 0 to 10 V or 2 to 10 V, or to switch, pulse or frequency outputs.
Can it batch or dose?
Yes. A dosing function uses output 2 as the dosing output and output 1 as the start, stop and reset input.
What liquids can it measure?
Conductive liquids of at least 20 µS/cm and up to 70 mm²/s viscosity, such as water and many water-based process liquids.
Can Proplant PCE help me choose the right model?
Yes. Send us the liquid, pipe size, flow range and the signal your PLC needs, and we will recommend the model and range.
Let's Discuss Your Flow Application
Tell us what is flowing, the pipe it flows in and what the signal needs to do. We will come back with a recommendation and the datasheet.
