Product overview

What is the ALL-005?

The ALL-005 from Allpronix is a programmable thermal flow sensor that monitors flow and temperature in liquids and gases.

  • 01Thermal, no moving partsA heated probe senses flow by how fast the medium carries heat away. Nothing moves or wears.
  • 02Colour displayA 4-digit display turns red or green to show at a glance whether the process is in range.
  • 03IO-Link and 4 to 20 mATwo programmable switch outputs, a scalable 4 to 20 mA output and IO-Link.

Sensitivity curves are programmed for the medium, so one sensor type covers water, glycol solutions, low- and high-viscosity oils and air.

The probe screws into an M18x1.5 internal thread, with adapters for G½ and G¼ connections. It is rated to 100 bar and IP65/IP67, and the housing rotates through 345°.

How it works

How does the ALL-005 work?

Step by step:

The faster the medium flows, the more heat it removes and the smaller the temperature difference between the heated sensor and the reference. The medium curve, switch points and analogue range are set on the keys or over IO-Link.

Interactive demonstration: the ALL-005 thermal flow sensor heats its probe tip, the flowing medium carries the heat away, and the electronics switch when the flow falls below the set pointHEATED SENSORREFERENCEFLOW →THERMAL PROBE, M18x1.5VELOCITY40 cm/sPROBE ΔT6.9 KSWITCH POINT30 cm/sSWITCHFLOW OKANALOGUE10.4 mASTEP 01ILLUSTRATIVE ΔT, 0 TO 3 m/s = 4 TO 20 mA

FAQ

ALL-005 FAQ

How does a thermal flow sensor work?

It heats a sensor in the probe tip and measures how quickly the flowing medium cools it. More flow removes more heat, which the electronics convert into flow velocity.

Which media can it monitor?

Water, glycol solutions, low- and high-viscosity oils and air, with a sensitivity curve programmed for each medium.

What flow range does it cover?

0.04 to 3 m/s in liquids and 2 to 100 m/s in gases.

Does it measure temperature too?

Yes. It measures medium temperature from -20 to +90 °C at the same time as flow.

What outputs are available?

Two programmable switch outputs (PNP or NPN), a scalable 4 to 20 mA output and IO-Link.

How is it installed?

The probe has an M18x1.5 internal thread. Adapters with G½ or G¼ threads set the immersion depth in the pipe.

Can Proplant PCE help me set it up?

Yes. Tell us the medium, pipe size and switch points, and we will supply the sensor with the right adapter and settings.
